Portraits of power
The photographer Platon and British Prime Minister Tony Blair during the photo shoot at the UN General Assembly held in September in New York City. The U.S. magazine New Yorker prepared a gallery of portraits with key state leaders of the world and released the result on your site . Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is registered in a relaxed way, between Fernando Lugo, Paraguay's president, and Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian head of state. The work was signed by the photographer Platon and each photo is accompanied by a commentary on professional output. The images were made during the UN General Assembly held in September in New York City. The gallery has 50 pictures in all. Some heads of state felt comfortable during the test and even joked with the photographer. This was the case, for example, the prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, who asked that Platon did "succeed" in photography. For months, producers of the magazine sent letters to various government agencies and embassies in order to facilitate the design of the photographer.
