The Journal of Pará launches Journal of Contemporary Photography Prize, open to all photographers and Brazilian residents. Will be offered three prizes worth $ 10 thousand dollars each, the theme from "Brazil Brazils'.
Besides the awards, the project will perform a show in the period from March 30 to April 30 at the Museum of the Federal University of Pará, in Belém, the work of selected artists and two photographers invited by the curators. The programming includes lecture series, meetings with artists, workshops and activities for art education.

The PHotoEspaña receives registration for the Premium al Mejor Libro de Fotografía 2010, an award with which the institution intends to point out the most important editorial work of the year.

The call is open to publishers of all nationalities, who can register photography books have been published between March 1, 2009 and March 1, 2010.

The jury will award three books in the "national", "international" and "prize to the editorial." Moreover, following the pattern of previous editions, the jury will select one hundred books, which will be expuestos within the festival, which will happen on June 9 to July 25 in Madrid.
