Sahara is in Rio
The Rio de Janeiro is an intense program in photography, with photos of Fernando Rabelo , in Hi Future, and the portraits of Tom Jobim , for Januario Garcia. Now, one more event for you to note on the agenda: the launch of the book Sahara Rio de Janeiro, which happens tomorrow (2:02), the Transom Bookstore.

Students graduate school in photography at Candido Mendes University is a comprehensive documentation of everyday life and social relations of the Sahara, the largest open market in Rio de Janeiro. These photos were exhibited at the Convent Gallery in June 2009 during the FotoRio 2009. Now they get a book, which gathers 150 images, produced by 12 photographers.

The curator and photo editing were done by photographer Marcos Paulo de Mendonca Lima and Andreas Valentin, course coordinator.
