The photographer Luiz Carlos Porto Alegre Felizardo launches, on July 6, Imago's book, a collection of texts published in the author * APPLAUSE , which is a columnist since 2001. The launch of the book, published by Lahtu FUMPROARTE Sensu and funded, will start at 19h, in the restaurant of the Santander Cultural Currency (Street September 7, 1028), in Porto Alegre.
Born in 1949, Luiz Carlos Felizardo studied at the School of Architecture, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) between 1968 and 1972, the year he dropped out and devoted himself exclusively to photography. Using large format cameras, produced internationally recognized work in the fields of architecture and landscape photography.
From 1975, held solo exhibitions in several Brazilian cities, Buenos Aires and La Plata, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay. He also participated in international conferences in European countries such as La Fotografía Iberoamericana in Madrid; Brasilianische photos, in Germany and Fotografía brasilena: Historia y Contempo-raneidad in Portugal. In 1991 and 2006, had some images selected to join the collection of MASP Collection / Pirelli.
Imago is not the first publication of Luiz Carlos Felizardo. In 2000, he published the book View Clock, the first collection of his texts.
