Paraty in Focus 2011

The innovative biennial Brighton, England, has its opening scheduled for October 1. In its fourth edition, the festival has the theme "New Documents" (New Documents), curated by photographer Martin Parr.

In another edition, A Taste of photography brings the Savior a series of exhibitions and activities with the participation of outstanding thinkers for the scenario of culture, resuming his main goal: to work in the education of the public capable of dealing with the photographic work as this in our daily artistic and social.

The Paraty in Focus 2010 is 15 meetings / interviews, to an audience of up to 610 people: 170 seats in the auditorium of the House of Culture [£ 10, £ 00 full price and $ 5.00 half], 40 seats in the courtyard, and 300 seats in the Tent of the Matrix.

Space f/508 f/508 performs the First Week of Photography - I Love Film. From 19 to August 29, the seat of f/508 in Brasilia, turns into a large space for living and learning, where they will be workshops, lectures, exhibitions, screenings, among other activities.

The choice was made during the last meeting of the Board of Trustees of the festival.

The next edition of the festival will be held from 15 to 19 September 2010.

This is the great aim of those who do festivals like Paraty and the Latin American Forum: move, promote and disseminate ideas. This post here is actually to report the blog of another festival of photography held in September in the city of São Paulo, SP Photofest. Glad to be a photographer here in Brazil, is not it?
